All towns, cities, even villages can suffer from that “keeping yourself to yourself” syndrome, whereby everyone scurries home every night and never really sees their neighbours. In part this is a symptom of having homes that really do cut you off from the outside world. By installing a set of bay windows you can rediscover the world outside and feel much more like a proper part of it.
